Summer vacations are the dream of a few days without stress and with time to rest and renew ourselves.

 Probably the best vacations are the ones that take us far from our comfort zones and also the ones that take us away from the work-routine loop. That can be traveling to the other side of the world, landing in a place with a language you don't speak, or simply swimming without schedules at a nearby beach. Giving yourself a getaway is giving yourself time, it is taking care of yourself and being very aware of the well-being and rejuvenation. Studies published in the Journal of Happiness show the high therapeutic value of these periods of disconnection and well-being with a high positive impact on people's self-esteem, proactivity and biological immunity levels.
